About Brian Davis
Emerging star and hit songwriter Brian Davis will hit the road once again with Brantley Gilbert when he joins the Black Out tour in 2016. Davis has been touring across the country this year on his “All About That Life” tour. Davis just scored his first #1 hit as a songwriter with Brantley Gilbert’s “One Hell of An Amen.”
Davis has opened for Brantley Gilbert and Kip Moore on Gilbert’s “Hell On Wheels Tour” and Aaron Lewis on the “2013 Jägermeister Country Tour.” Davis signed a publishing deal in late 2013 with Warner/Chappell Music Nashville and its publishing partner, Brantley Gilbert’s Write or Die Music.
Davis wrote “What If I Was Willing,” (co-written with Randy Montana and Billy Montana) which was featured in multiple episodes of the popular ABC Television hit series “Nashville.” The song was part of a major storyline as the mega-hit single for character Will Lexington (played by Chris Carmack) and was included in the Music of Nashville Soundtrack- Season 2 Volume 1. Brian was also featured and performed the song for the ABC Music Lounge’s “Nashville”-inspired docu-web series “On The Record” and talked about the inspiration behind the song.
Davis has been a student of country music since he was six years old, growing up in rural North Carolina and watching his father and grandfather play the honky-tonks all across his home state. By age eight he was on the road with them, tuning their guitars. His passion eventually led him to Nashville where he would begin the “apprenticeship” of a lifetime: he began working with and learning from songwriting legend Harlan Howard. Davis honed his craft and continued to hit the road and build a solid, loyal fan base with his live show. ALL ABOUT THAT LIFE is the followup to his critically-acclaimed UNDER THE INFLUENCE which is available on iTunes.
